      Edmund O’Brien was my father in laws father. He was awarded the Italy Star but he have no more information on him. Could you please point me in the right direction if possible?

      He was born in Rochdale, September 1915 and we believe he served in the Marines and was injured in Italy and sent back to the UK.

      I’ve just been reading some of the other submissions and Edmund O’Brien, whom I’m looking for also as the Africa Star, if that’s any help to anyone who can help me?

      If he was a Royal Marines Commando then he would have served in 2 Commando Brigade – either in 40 or 43 RM Commando.
