  My Uncle was killed by a mine on 22 July 1944. I wish to trace the movements and activities of his unit. I have been advised to search records at The National Archives, Kew, London. Any information would be much appreciated. I have some photos from negs which vary in quality but show, I presume, other members of Bill’s unit Also, a letter of condolence to the Mason family from Thomas Charlesworth A TROOP SE BATTERY, 8th SURVEY Ret.RH.
