Looking for information on my Great Grandfather

Hello,

I am looking for some more information (and any pictures if there are any in circulation!) about my Great Grandad- Edward Richard Andrew Lesniewski.

I know he was in the 8th Army under General Montgomery and his job was a motor cycle courier. He then went on to Monte Cassino and he slept on and guarded money (or gold bars) in the bank.

If anyone knows anymore about him, or have any pictures of him I would love to see them- I have pictures of him in his 70’s and 80’s but would really like to see some of him in the war!

I recommend that you go to http://www.gov.uk and in the Search Box enter ‘How do I obtain a Service Record’  That will tell you how to get hold one the document that details his time in the Army.  Once you have that, come back to the site and I will translate it for you.
