Thanks so much for your info, I’ve tried to reply but says ‘thread closed’?

I’m not military savvi I’m afraid and can’t find which Brigade he was in, only that in 1946 he was in Victoria Barracks Windsor?

He died in 1954, 4 years after I was born.

During 1946, 1 GREN GDS were in D Lines in Pirbright followed by Chelsea Barracks in London.

During 1946, 2 GREN GDS were in Lubeck in Germany.

From Sep 1945-Apr 1948, 3 GREN GDS were in Palestine as part of 1 Guards Brigade.

During 1946, 4 GREN GDS were in Germany then Pirbright.
