  I am trying to complete the service history of my grandfather whose medals I have. I have a box with his World war two Medals in
  
  He has an ITALY STAR , 1939-45 Star , The Defense Medal and the 1939-45 War Medal
  
  His name was WILLIAM RICHARD JARRETT , from Buckinghamshire UNITED KINGDOM
  
  He had served in WWI in Machine GUN Corps as a private 123328
  
  Any clues as to what service he saw in WW 2
