      My father 5886168 Private Bernard Bowd served in “B” company between Feb 44 – 14th October 44 when he was taken POW at Mont Gabioni.

      I have his memoirs but want to try to obtain a more accurate route that his battalion would have taken through Italy.

      I know he was at Monte Cassino in April 44 but where would I be able to get more information on the route that they took as I wish to follow that same route next year.

      He ended up working in the coalmines in Poland before experiencing “The March” back home.
