I have recently received WWII medals awarded to my father, No 572595 A/M P.J.C. Wait (South African). Amongst these is an Italy Star medal with an inscription on the back reading “312913 H.F. Kromhout”. I am trying to establish how this medal could have ended up in my farther’s possession and was wondering if you could assist with tracing information on H.F Kromhout?
