That’s very kind of you. Unfortunately I’ve already booked a trip to Italy in October where we are doing the battlefield your.

My Grandfather was in the 53rd (Bolton) Field Artillery, but was transferred to the 8th Indian Provost Unit.

I’d love to find out exactly where he would have been stationed around Cassino with a view to maybe visiting.

Also, were there other battles close by that he (or at least the unit) were involved in? I read about the Battle of River Rapido.

Also, where might I find any photos of the military police in Italy please?
