A Christmas Message from our National Chairman

Christmas Message from our National Chairman

Warmest greetings to all our readers,
As we move into the 71st year since the end of World War II, I believe it only right to give thanks for the stalwart Italy Star veterans who represent their fallen comrades – keeping not only their memories alive, but also the stories and records of the Italian campaigns.
2015 has seen another lovely annual reunion weekend in May at Chichester, attended by 30 veterans, their family members and other Association members. The annual service at Canterbury on 10th July had a record attendance – both of these events were also blessed with excellent weather and really good company. We were well represented at the Field of Remembrance and the Cenotaph Parade in November.
I’m not sure that I can better the sentiments which I wrote in last year’s message, which seem to become ever more important year on year, so I raise my virtual glass to each and every one of you, for:
• Comradeship for all
• Pride in our veterans
• Keeping the memories alive
May your Christmas and New Year to come, be a peaceful and happy.
Most sincerely yours,
Mary Tidy. National Chairman.
