George Booker.

Sadly George Houghton Booker passes away in November 2018.  George had been a signaller with the 6th Battalion Grenadier Guards and was a member of the Association living in New Zealand. He travelled back to Italy on a number of occasions. He had taken part in commemorations at Rocca d’Evandro (south of Cassino) where he fought. In the words of Peter Scott (Chairman of the New Zealand Branch) “He was our favourite Pom”.

The official local newspaper notice: BOOKER,
