Operation Victory – 1960 by Francis De Guingand

Operation Victory in Paperback – 1960 by Francis De Guingand.

Of all the WWII memoirs in the European Theatre by those on the periphery of the fame, I think this is one of the best, and certainly one of the most underrated. It is fascinating because of Guingand’s professional relationship to Montgomery. A most enjoyable book if one is interested in the subject, and a must have if one is interested – even slightly – in Montgomery.
